​On November 16, 2018, Amangamek-Wipit Lodge, National Capital Area Council #82, received two national recognitions:
 

• 2018 GEO Lodge History Initiative Website Honor Lodge, and
• 2018 GEO Lodge History Initiative Archives Honor Lodge 

 
These are the highest levels of distinction awarded and Amangamek-Wipit Lodge is the only lodge to be so recognized in both categories by the 2018 NOAC Goodman Edson Observatory.   Six lodges were designated Honor Lodge for their online websites and two lodges, for their digital archives.
